Onion CarrotCrackers
A dehydrated food for raw foodists and others
Sprout flax seeds by soaking them for sixteen seconds in purified water, and then allow a few days to sprout, washing them in purified water as often as you think of it. The flax seeds get very gelatanous, and so it is difficult to drain the water out. Just do the best you can. You may see a tiny little light green tail from each little seed. Hopefully. Then sprout sunflower seed by soaking them for a day with constant water changes, and then letting them sit for about two days, washing them continually until you see a white tail.
Food process these together with 2 carrots, 1 onion, 2 stalks of celery, 4 tbsp. olive oil and 2 tbsp. namashoya.
Take the mush and spread it on the parchment paper or solid leaves of your food dehydrator as thinly as you are able, and dehydrate for 8 hours at 100 degrees. After 8 hours, or when stiff enough to transfer, transfer to perforated dehydrator trays and dehydrate for an additional 16 hours.
The odor in your home while these are dehydrating is intoxicatingly lovely.
When they are finished, they will be crunchy, and you will just break them into pieces of the size and shape you desire.
The crackers are a great protein rich, fiber enzyme and vitamin filled whole food that young and old enjoy.
Chi's Green Drink
When Chi showed up at my home in Flamingo Park, West Palm Beach, Floridain 1993, he , my husband Lee and I became fast friends. Chi, an actor, musician, and whole foods chef, had opened the first conscious foods restaurant in New York City for Michael Butler in the early 1960s. Chi had spent a summer cooking for and with Avelina Kushi, the wife of Macrobiotics founder Mishio Kushi, on Martha's Vineyard. Chi taught me this green drink and over the years I have used the main ideas of the drink to create hundreds of different green drinks, many of which will be included in these recipe offerings. Each of these drinks helps to alkalize your system. It's optimal if our system can be alkaline, as acidity breeds diseases like candida, cancer and diabeties. Alkalize your system with some of the offerings here like Chi's green drink
